Choosing your perfect style...

Once you have determined your face shape, it is time to decide on the perfect style for you.

Rounded

DO:

If you have a rounded facial shape opt for a style that creates height to help lengthen and elongate the face. Having your hair down in a loose style, with bits coming around your face is the perfect style for this face shape. If you are also looking to break up the roundness of your face try a side swept long fringe.

DON’T:

Opt for a super straight do as this can make your face appear rounder.

Heart

DO:

Wear hair loosely around face, preferably around jawline as it helps to accentuate cheekbones and add width to a narrow jaw.

DON’T:

Cut the fringe short and straight across. It can easily look strange on your broad forehead.

Square

DO:

Try a fringe that is low to the brows and cut with longer length at the side, this will help balance out the angles of your face. Texture waves and a side parting helps to break up the width of your face and is a gorgeous soft and feminine style.

DON’T:

Wear your hair tightly pulled back, this draws attention to the wider jaw line.

Diamond

DO:

Opt for wearing your hair down as this creates softness around the jaw. Try to create height at the sides to accentuate the cheekbones and balance out your jawline.

DON’T:

Wear hair tightly pulled back, this could create a harsh look.

Oval

DO:

Opt for a style that breaks up the length of your face, eg a thick, blunt fringe. Add extra width to your face by creating an up style at the mid-section of the crown or to one side.

DON’T:

Wear a hairstyle that is going to give too much height or have your hair tight at the sides, this will accentuate the length of your face.
